Pepi Lignana

Italy

Pepi Lignana is the wine label of family-owned Fattoria il Casalone in coastal Tuscany’s environmentally protected Maremma, where the family has grown grapes since 1960 across three generations. The estate combines niche, artisanal production with ecological sustainability, respect for nature, low yields and careful vinification aimed at preserving grape character. Vineyard work includes manual harvesting, selection in the vineyard and further sorting in the cellar. The range includes Vermentino, Viognier, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; the noble reds are matured in French oak barriques. The estate’s long-term experimentation has included introducing international varieties alongside traditional grapes, reflecting a thoughtful, quality-focused approach to the region.
