Domaine Heitz-Lochardet

France

Domaine Heitz-Lochardet is a family-owned Burgundy estate founded by Brigitte and Christian Heitz in 1983 from holdings associated with Georges Lochardet. Now managed by their son Armand Heitz, the domaine farms vineyards in areas including Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Volnay, Mercurey, Beaune and Beaujolais, producing wines such as Meursault and Pommard Premier Cru Les Rugiens. Its approach has evolved from organic and biodynamic viticulture toward permaculture and regenerative agriculture, with manual vineyard work, cover crops and integrated livestock farming. The wider operation also includes organic vegetable production. The wines are made under Armand Heitz’s direction, with a focus on careful farming and lower-impact, diversified agriculture; no formal third-party certification is stated.
