Coffele is a family-owned Soave Classico estate founded in 1971 by Giovanna Visco and Giuseppe Coffele and now run by their children, Alberto and Chiara. Its vineyards lie at Castelcerino, among the highest in the appellation, reaching 400 metres and spanning limestone and volcanic basalt soils. The estate is organically farmed and was the first Soave Classico producer officially permitted to label its wines “biologico” with the Euroleaf certification. Predominantly planted to Garganega, with Trebbiano di Soave, Chardonnay and red varieties, the vineyards are managed with close attention to soil and landscape conservation. Coffele participates in sustainability initiatives including SOiLUTION SYSTEM and Progetto ITACA, addressing erosion, biodiversity and reduced-impact viticulture, while Cascina Albaterra extends this commitment into social agriculture.
