Vinification & maturation
France
Long Little Dog is a Southern French label produced by Maison Boutinot, founded in 1990. Sourcing grapes from multiple parcels across the Languedoc and wider southern France, it makes approachable red and white blends: Grenache, Syrah and Carignan in the red, and Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, Vermentino and Viognier in the white. The varieties are fermented separately, with the wines bottled young without oak to preserve their fresh, fruit-rich character. Winemaking is led by Guillaume Létang, with Samantha Bailey co-responsible for the red. The wines come in 750ml bottles and 187ml cans, with a playful, relaxed identity.
