Domaine Pêcheur

France

Domaine Pêcheur is a family-run estate in Darbonnay, near Passenans and Château-Chalon in the Jura, founded in 1976. The domaine remains family-owned, with Christian and Patricia Pêcheur central to its development, and notes also indicate a second generation, Maximilien and Jeanne, is now involved. The vineyards are planted to classic Jura varieties including Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau, with many vines 35–50 years old. Farming follows organic-style or reasoned principles, with no pesticides or herbicides mentioned, hand harvesting, minimal machinery and a general environmental focus, though the estate is not officially certified organic. Winemaking is traditional, with barrel fermentation and ageing in older barrels, including classic Jura styles such as Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille.
