Eric Chevalier is a fourth-generation family domaine in the AOP Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu, west of the Loire Valley, taken over by Éric in 2006 and fully self-bottled. Its vineyards near Saint-Philbert de Grandlieu benefit from Atlantic, Loire, and Lac de Grandlieu influences, producing fresh, oceanic, iodized wines. The vines have been farmed organically since 2016 and certified organic since 2020, with mechanical work, no chemical inputs, biodiversity-focused plantings, and mostly hand harvesting. The domaine is known for dry white wines from varieties including Melon, Folle Blanche, Fié Gris, and Chardonnay. Winemaking emphasizes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, low sulfites, stainless steel, and minimal intervention; the Chardonnay is bottled unfiltered without oak aging.
