Dievole

Italy

Dievole is a historic estate in Vagliagli, in the heart of Chianti Classico near Siena, with documented roots dating to 1090. Since 2012 it has been owned by the Bulgheroni family and is part of the ABFV Group, alongside estates in Montalcino and Bolgheri. Its vineyards are farmed organically, with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, permanent cover cropping, green manure and no irrigation. Sangiovese dominates, complemented by traditional Tuscan varieties, and the estate studies its varied soils and individual parcels to produce small-quantity Cru wines expressing site and variety. Fermentation in raw-concrete tulip tanks and ageing in un toasted French oak aim to preserve freshness and balance. Dievole also produces olive oil and offers a wine resort, restaurant and cellar experiences.
