Chatelain Desjacques is a Loire Valley brand owned by Burgundian merchant house Louis Jadot since 1996. Its wines are made exclusively from grapes supplied by Caves de la Loire, a cooperative uniting more than 120 growers, with production focused on the Saumur appellation. The cooperative emphasizes certified sustainable viticulture, although it is not organically certified and is listed as non-organic. Master winemaker Guillaume de Castelnau has overseen the winemaking since Louis Jadot’s acquisition, bringing continuity to the brand’s Loire Valley portfolio.
