Château Mazeyres

France

Château Mazeyres is a Pomerol estate in Bordeaux, now owned by the Guillard family since 2020. Long guided by viticultural engineer and oenologist Alain Moueix, who has led the property since 1992, the estate has been farmed biodynamically since 2012, certified organic since 2015 and biodynamic since 2018, and is a member of Biodyvin. Its vineyard spans several distinct soil types across the west and south terraces of Pomerol, including clayey gravels, clayey sands, and gravelly-sandy clays, helping shape wines noted for velvety texture, finesse, freshness, and Pomerol typicity. The historic Directoire manor stands on a site with Gallo-Roman roots dating back to the 2nd century AD.
