J. Cabral Almeida

Portugal

J. Cabral Almeida is an independent boutique winery based in Viseu, in Portugal’s Beira region, founded and led by João Cabral de Almeida, who is both owner and winemaker. Working across Vinho Verde, Douro and Dão, the estate focuses on minimal-intervention winemaking intended to express terroir and grape variety. Its vineyards average 40 years old and are planted in granite-rich soils, with a mix of rare and familiar Portuguese varieties. No organic or biodynamic certification or specific sustainability practices are reported.
