Domaine des Clos Maurice is based in Varrains in Saumur-Champigny, where the Hardouin family and Loire Valley vigneron Nicolas Réau jointly farm clay-limestone vineyards. The estate has transitioned to organic farming and holds biodynamic certification, with sustainable practices including hand-harvesting. Réau also serves as winemaker, guiding a terroir-focused, low-intervention approach based on ambient-yeast fermentation and minimal filtration.
