Domaine de la Mongestine

Australia

La Mongestine is an estate in Provence Verte, near Artigues in the Provence-Verdon area, with vineyards on a north-facing hillside reaching 450 m and surrounded by forest. Owned by Harry and Céline Gozlan since 2017, it is run by a collective team with winemaker Maxime Gamard also credited. Certified organic since 2014 and moving toward biodynamic farming, the domaine emphasizes living soils, permanent cover crops, minimal tillage, biodiversity, and reduced compaction. Winemaking is low-intervention and natural, using indigenous yeasts and avoiding oenological additives such as added yeasts, enzymes, and sulfur. The cooler, clay-limestone terroirs are reflected in fresh, digestible, terroir-driven wines. La Mongestine is also active in the natural wine community, notably as host of the Artigues Mon’kiff salon.
