Producer

Lillet

France

Founded in 1872 by brothers Raymond and Paul Lillet, Maison Lillet produces its wine-based aperitifs in Podensac, south of Bordeaux. The range includes Blanc, Rosé and Rouge, made from Bordeaux wine blends combined with infusions of sweet and bitter orange peels, cinchona bark and other ingredients, then aged in French oak. A team of around ten people carries out production. Now part of Pernod Ricard, Lillet maintains local links through long-term vine-planting contracts and partnerships with growers. Its sustainability measures include certified vineyard sourcing, regenerative viticulture initiatives, renewable energy, bioethanol-fuelled transport, recycling and composting, and ISO 14001 environmental certification.
