Producer

Kivelstadt Cellars

United States

Founded and owned by Jordan Kivelstadt in 2007, Kivelstadt Cellars is a family-run Sonoma County producer with an estate vineyard in organic Bennett Valley and a tasting lounge in Sonoma. The winery also works with historic partner vineyards across Northern California, sourcing from organic and sustainably managed growers. Its “vine-to-bottle” approach emphasizes minimal-intervention winemaking, including the use of concrete eggs and amphorae for fermentation and aging. Eco-conscious practices include reusable growlers, wine-on-tap service, biodegradable corks, and a substantial waste-reduction program. Head winemaker Luke Nio leads the cellar, while the winery’s Second Shift Wine Fest celebrates independent winemakers working outside the traditional system.
