Sangenís i Vaqué

Spain

Sangenís i Vaqué is a family-owned winery in Porrera, DOQ Priorat, founded in 1978 by Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué, with roots in the family stretching back generations. Working steep terrace and slope vineyards on llicorella slate soils, the estate follows organic dry-farming, uses natural composts, and is moving toward ecological certification. Maria Sangenís now leads winemaking alongside Pere and Núria Sangenís, with a collaborative, minimal-intervention approach focused on expressing Priorat terroir. The wines are aged in French oak with a small proportion of American oak, then bottled unfiltered and unfined after natural stabilization.
