Jacques Bavard

France

Jacques Bavard is a family-owned estate in Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy, run by Jacques and his wife Christine. The domaine focuses entirely on fruit from its own vineyards, while Jacques also operates a négociant business. A Beaune-trained viticulturist, Jacques has been the estate’s sole winemaker since 2005. His approach includes low sulfur use, no bâtonnage since 2006, and maturation in both 350-liter and traditional 228-liter oak barrels, with more new oak introduced since 2017. The wines reflect a hands-on, owner-operated domaine with a clear focus on estate-grown Burgundy.
