Eva Fricke

Germany

Weingut Eva Fricke is a small, sole-owner estate in Germany’s Rheingau, founded in 2006 and run entirely by Eva Fricke as owner, winemaker, and vineyard manager. Based around sites in Lorch, Lorchhausen, Kiedrich, and Eltville, she focuses above all on Riesling from steep, often old-vine vineyards, especially on slate and quartzite soils. The estate is certified organic and vegan, with hand-worked vineyards, no herbicides or pesticides, manual harvest, and a low-intervention approach in the cellar. Fricke built the domaine from scratch, with sustainability and close observation of site at the core of her work. Her wines are consistently described as purist, precise, mineral, and elegant, with strong terroir expression and particular distinction in the Lorch valley.
