Domaine Hudelot-Baillet

France

Domaine Hudelot-Baillet is a family-owned estate in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, founded in 1981 by Joël Hudelot and Chantal Baillet. Since 2004, Dominique Le Guen has led the domaine, with the next generation, Tanguy Le Guen, now involved. The estate follows a sustainable, low-intervention approach in the vineyards, including manual harvesting, rigorous sorting, ploughing without herbicides, pheromone-based pest control, horse plowing on select plots, and avoidance of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. In the cellar, Dominique Le Guen favors minimal-intervention winemaking, indigenous yeasts, and oak aging to highlight pure fruit, terroir expression, and the finesse and elegance associated with Chambolle.
