Domaine Henri Prudhon

France

Domaine Henri Prudhon & Fils is a family-run estate based in Saint-Aubin in Burgundy, founded in 1945 by Henri and Marguerite Prudhon and still managed by the Prudhon family. Expanded by their son Gérard and now led by Vincent and Philippe Prudhon, the domaine farms vineyards across Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet on clay-limestone soils, with a notably strong presence in Saint-Aubin Premier Cru sites. The vineyard is worked in a traditional way, with regular ploughing, manual harvests and reasoned disease control, guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention and respect for terroir. In the cellar, Chardonnay is pressed and fermented in barrel with lees ageing, while Pinot Noir is hand sorted, gently extracted and aged in oak with very little new wood.
