Tenuta L'Impostino

Italy

Tenuta L’Impostino is a winery and agriturismo in Civitella Paganico, in Tuscany’s Maremma and Montecucco DOC. Founded by an owner who moved from a successful design career into winemaking, the estate is part of Soc. Agri. Casal di Pari srl and lies on the historic route between Siena and Grosseto. Its vineyards occupy a south-west-facing natural amphitheatre at 380 metres, with clay-limestone and alluvial-pebble soils, surrounded by Mediterranean woodland. The estate describes organic production as integral to its culture and emphasizes careful selection of sites, varieties and clones. Montecucco wines are made using both modern and traditional methods, including stainless-steel fermentation, concrete and large oak vessels, barrique ageing and bottle refinement. The property also preserves a historic farmhouse and offers hospitality, tastings and local cuisine.
