Planet Mouraz

Portugal

Planet Mouraz is an independently owned estate in Portugal’s Dão region, run by married couple Sara Dionísio and Antonio Ribeiro, who left Lisbon in 2000 to become full-time winegrowers. They have farmed organically since 2000 and introduced biodynamic practices in 2006, working with sandy soils. After replanting following the 2017 wildfire, they now make natural, low-intervention wines with minimal sulphur and no additives. Sara and Antonio are the primary winemakers, producing the experimental Planet Mouraz range from their own vineyards alongside the AIR project, which draws on vineyards across Alentejo, Douro and Minho.
