Austria

Philipp Bründlmayer is a family-owned Austrian estate in the Kremstal, where Philipp took over from his father in 2015. The vineyards lie across the loess terraces of Gedersdorf and Rohrendorf, encompassing numerous sites and microclimates shaped by loess, primary rock, gravel and limestone conglomerate. Vineyard work emphasizes handcraft, careful management, old vines and manual harvesting, with organic certification since 2019 and sustainability certification through NACHHALTIG AUSTRIA. The estate focuses on dry Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Neuburger and other regional varieties. Wines are described as crystal-clear, purist and balanced, combining fine spice and minerality with the structure and depth associated with Kremstal. Winemaking is led by Philipp alongside Andreas Wickhoff, MW, and reflects a low-intervention approach and strong regional tradition.
