Familie Friedrich Becker is a seventh-generation family estate in the Pfalz, with roughly 30 hectares—about half across the border in Alsace, France. Owned and run by Fritz Becker Sr. and Fritz Becker Jr., who both serve as winemakers, the estate has been led by Jr. since 2005. Viticulture is hand-tended and harvesting is done by hand, while wines are barrel-fermented with limited use of new oak. The estate is listed under Sustainable Wines, although no formal certification is cited.
