Domaine Breton

France

Domaine Catherine et Pierre Breton is a fifth-generation family estate in the Loire Valley, run by Catherine and Pierre Breton with Paul Breton involved in the winemaking. Based around Bourgueil and working across Vouvray, Bourgueil, and Chinon, the domaine has farmed organically since 1985, with Ecocert organic certification from 1991 and Demeter biodynamic certification from 1994. The vineyards are managed without chemical fertilizers, weedkillers, or systemic treatments, with manual harvests and limited yields. In the cellar, the Bretons follow a natural, low-intervention approach: indigenous yeasts, unfiltered wines, and low or no added sulfites. Their wines, including Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, are rooted in long family experience and a clear commitment to expressing Loire terroirs as faithfully as possible.
