Château Vieux Chevrol

France

Château Vieux Chevrol is a multigenerational family estate in Néac, Lalande-de-Pomerol, run by Jean-Pierre and Michel Champseix. Founded in 1921, it focuses on expressing the finesse and aromatic richness of its terroir, with vineyards planted mainly to Merlot alongside Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate has been certified organic since 2019, using cover crops, manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts and no added sulphur. Michel, who became winemaker in 2013, works alongside his father and wife Marion, combining tradition with modern, environmentally respectful practices. Wines are made in a geothermal-controlled cellar and aged in French oak demi-muids.
