Artelium Wine Estate

United Kingdom

Artelium is an artisan English wine estate in Sussex’s South Downs, founded and run by Julie Bretland and Mark Collins. Working with winemakers Dermot Sugrue and Owen Elias, the estate produces sparkling and still wines from estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with long lees ageing and a spirit of creative experimentation. Artelium holds WINEGB Sustainable Wine Certification and is developing regenerative practices, including biodiversity planting, winter sheep grazing and more than 17,000 disease-resistant PiWi vines. Its small-batch Artefact wines are made only in the finest years and released in limited volumes, each featuring commissioned contemporary artwork. The estate brings together wine, art and craft through exhibitions, sculpture and collaborations.
