Tenuta Argentiera is an estate in Castagneto Carducci, Tuscany, owned by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer. Its vineyards lie between 180 and 200 meters above sea level on varied coastal soils including marl, claystone, sandstone, pebbles, limestone, sand and clay. The estate follows organic farming principles without formal certification, with an emphasis on water conservation, minimal intervention, biodiversity, careful soil management, prudent canopy work and targeted micro-irrigation. Mediterranean scrub is interplanted to help maintain a balanced ecosystem. The overall style is shaped by this diverse terroir and a sustainability-minded approach in both vineyard and cellar.
