Domaine Albert Morot is a historic Beaune estate founded in 1820 and based at the 19th-century Château de la Creusotte. Formerly a négociant house, it ended those activities in 1984 to focus fully on estate wines. Geoffroy Choppin de Janvry led the domaine from 2000, guiding a shift toward sustainable farming, with biodynamic practice from 2000 and later certified organic viticulture. The vineyards include old vines and a strong collection of Beaune and Savigny-lès-Beaune premier crus, including the monopole Clos de la Bataillère. In 2023, the estate was acquired by the family group of Guillaume and Sophie Poitrinal, with Pierre-Jean Villa appointed to lead the domaine. The stated philosophy is to produce pure, precise wines that express the identity and typicity of each terroir.
