Italy

Gravner is a family-run estate in Oslavia, in Friuli’s Colli Goriziani, led by Joško Gravner with his daughter Mateja involved in operations, communications, and logistics. Working vineyards on both sides of the Italy-Slovenia border, the winery follows biodynamic principles without formal certification, with attention to lunar cycles and bird habitats. Gravner is known for a low-intervention approach, fermenting in Georgian terracotta amphorae and large glass tanks rather than relying on oak. Production is deliberately limited, with very low yields and long aging, reflecting the estate’s pioneering, artisanal orange-wine style.
