Billia Vermentino

Founded in 1970 by Giovanni “Billia” Cherchi, Vinicola Cherchi is a family-owned winery in Usini, on the calcareous hills of northwest Sardinia. The Cherchi family considers itself a group of vignaioli, involved in every stage from vineyard to bottle, with Giovanni Cherchi leading the winemaking and championing the indigenous Cagnulari grape. The estate practices organic, low-input viticulture, respecting nature, seasonal rhythms, and the character of its hillside vineyards. Its wines focus on Sardinian varieties including Vermentino, Cagnulari, and Cannonau, expressed through straightforward, sincere styles that reflect their territory and local winemaking tradition.
