Fontanabianca

Italy

Fontanabianca is a family-run estate in Neive, in Piedmont’s Barbaresco zone, founded in 1969 by Franco Pola and Ottavio Ferro and now led by Aldo Pola, his wife Luisella, and the next generation, including Matteo Pola in the cellar. Deeply tied to the Bordini and Serraboella crus, the winery is especially known for Barbaresco. Farming is described as close to nature, with careful vineyard work, reduced use of aggressive products, and no formal certification cited. In the cellar, the focus is on preserving the character of the grapes and terroir through measured extraction, restrained oak use, and a style that has evolved toward greater balance, elegance, and classical expression.
