Rovellotti

Italy

Rovellotti is a family-owned estate in Ghemme, Alto Piemonte, run by brothers Antonello and Paolo Rovellotti. Their work began in their grandfather’s old cellar and today continues within the historic Ricetto/Castello of Ghemme, where they vinify only estate-grown fruit. The winery emphasizes eco-sustainable vineyard management and has applied integrated, very low-impact farming since the 1980s, limiting chemical interventions, maintaining natural ground cover, and supporting biodiversity; despite this approach, it has no formal organic certification. In the cellar, Antonello leads winemaking with support from enologist Mario Ronco, using indigenous yeasts, minimal additions, no filtration, and a traditional approach for Ghemme, including large oak casks rather than small barriques.
