Pewsey Vale is a single-vineyard estate in South Australia, part of S. Smith & Son, whose history traces back to Joseph Gilbert’s 1847 foundation. Its vineyards sit at around 500 metres on shallow sandy soils with quartz and schist gravels, with north, north-east and north-west aspects. The estate focuses on healthy, biodiverse vineyards and low-intervention practices, producing vegan-friendly wines. Winemaking is overseen by Louisa Rose, with Riesling at the heart of the estate’s production.
