La Scolca

Italy

Founded in 1919 in Rovereto di Gavi, La Scolca is a long-established family estate run by the Soldati family, today led by Giorgio and Chiara Soldati with the fifth generation involved. A specialist in Gavi and sparkling wines, it has played a key role in elevating Cortese and is closely identified with the Gavi dei Gavi label. The estate combines tradition with innovation through biodynamic and sustainable farming, hand harvesting, solar-powered low-impact cellar practices, sur-lie ageing, and reduced sulfite use. Rooted in the Gavi terroir and guided by the idea that great wine begins in the vineyard, La Scolca is known for elegant, mineral, long-lived whites with a refined, modern profile.
