Domaine Jean-Charles Rion

France

Domaine Jean-Charles Rion is a fifth-generation, family-owned Burgundy estate led by owner-winemaker Jean-Charles Rion. Its vineyards span the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, including premier Côte de Nuits sites. The domaine follows integrated, low-input “reasoned” agriculture, with minimal chemical use, manual harvesting, careful sorting and low yields. It works exclusively with estate-grown fruit and has no négociant activity, emphasizing a sustainable, terroir-focused approach. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled open stainless-steel vats, followed by oak aging.
