Château Odilon

France

Château Odilon is a Bordeaux estate operated within Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), following its acquisition by Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1979. The vineyards, planted mainly to Merlot alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, lie on rich limestone soils. After the acquisition, the vineyards were completely restructured and the estate buildings restored. Winemaking is led by Fabrice Darmaillacq, a Bordeaux University oenology graduate with experience in Pauillac and Languedoc. The former name, Château Peyre-Lebade—meaning “raised rock”—reflects the property’s earlier identity. No specific certification or sustainable farming practices are documented.
