Vinha do Reino 'A River Runs Through It'

Carlos Lucas Vinhos is an owner-operated Douro producer led by winemaker Carlos Lucas, who moved from farming into winemaking more than 25 years ago. Working with Carlos Rodrigues on the Magnum label, the estate applies integrated crop management, hand-harvests its grapes, and uses low-temperature maceration and stainless-steel fermentation. Its practices are vegan-friendly, and the estate received Portugal’s 2014 Agricultural Award of the Year for sustainable agriculture. The producer makes Vinha do Reino, a vegan and vegetarian-friendly DOC Douro wine.
