Finca Vandama is a family-run winery on the slopes of Gran Canaria’s Bandama volcano, where wine production began in the late 1950s with Listán Negro, Listán Blanco, and Muscatel. Its vineyards occupy a mosaic of volcanic microterroirs, with lapilli, picón, clay, and volcanic sands, and vines approximately 35 to 100 years old. Grapes are harvested by hand and plots are vinified separately to express their individual character. The winery practices sustainable viticulture, limiting chemicals and mechanization, managing water responsibly, promoting biodiversity, and using spontaneous fermentations with minimal additions. Its artisanal, minimal-intervention approach aims to let the volcanic origin and each variety speak clearly in the bottle.
