El Coto de Imaz

Spain

Founded in 1970 in Rioja Alavesa, El Coto de Imaz remains family-owned and operates its own winery. The estate manages vineyards across Rioja Alta, Baja, Alavesa and Oriental, including the Cenicero Estate, where lime-clay and ferrous-clay soils sit at around 500 metres. Its viticulture is described as sustainable, with cover crops, preventative pest management and the conversion of 40 hectares to more sustainable practices. The wines include Rioja Reserva, reflecting the estate’s established regional identity and broad vineyard holdings.
