Domaine Marie Bérénice

France

Domaine Marie Bérénice is an independent 12-hectare estate in the Bandol appellation, between La Cadière and Le Castellet. Created by owner-winemaker Damien Roux in 2012, it farms certified-organic vineyards, with a strong interest in biodynamic methods. Old Mourvèdre vines grow on clay-limestone soils across terraced restanques, producing wines described as both powerful and elegant. All the vines are classified AOP Bandol. Harvesting is carried out by hand, with grapes selected three times from pressing through bottling. The domaine also produces organic olive oil and holds the Vigneron Indépendant and Vignobles et Découvertes designations.
