Domaine Marchand & Fils is a family-owned estate in Les Loges, at the heart of the Pouilly-sur-Loire vineyard, where the Marchand family has cultivated vines since 1650. Now directed by brothers Eric and Pascal Marchand, with involvement from the next generation, the domaine farms varied calcareous, Kimmeridgian and clay-chalk soils on hillsides overlooking the Loire. HVE level 3 certified, it practices integrated, minimal-intervention viticulture, including de-budding and green harvesting, and has eliminated weed killers and chemical fertilizers since 2013. The estate produces Pouilly-sur-Loire from Chasselas and Pouilly Fumé from handpicked Sauvignon Blanc parcels. Cool maceration, gentle pressing and controlled fermentation preserve freshness, while selected cuvées receive extended oak maturation and lees stirring.
