Vieux Télégraphe is a long-established Brunier family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Rhône Valley, rooted on the stony La Crau plateau and run by the family since 1891. Today Frédéric and Daniel Brunier lead the domaine, with younger generations now involved and Leonardo “Leo” Borsi handling day-to-day cellar work. The family describes its farming as reasoned, organic-minded, and sustainable, with manual harvests, double sorting, no irrigation, and pheromone confusion for pest control. In the cellar, the focus is on observing each vintage, respecting AOC traditions, and adjusting vinification accordingly, using gravity flow and largely non-interventionist methods. The wines are known for mineral, terroir-driven character and for favoring balance, finesse, elegance, and ageworthiness over sheer power.
