Founded in 2013 in Minervois, Domaine du Somail is run by François Fabre, Julie, Germain and Patrick, who farm according to an organic and biodynamic philosophy. Certified Organic (NOP) and Demeter/Biodyvin biodynamic since 2016, the estate avoids herbicides, insecticides and synthetic chemicals, instead using cover crops, agroforestry, natural fertilisers and herbal treatments. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with no added SO₂ and minimal filtration. The wines express a natural style while reflecting the partners’ focus on soil and vineyard health.
