Domaine de la Jobeline

France

Domaine de la Jobeline is a family-owned estate in Verzé, in Burgundy’s Mâconnais, run by Pierre Maillet, who is also the winemaker. The Maillet family has longstanding roots in the region, while the domaine was formally established in 2014. Its vineyards are planted mainly to Chardonnay, alongside Aligoté and Gamay, producing predominantly white wines with a smaller red-wine component. Sustainable viticulture emphasizes reduced chemical inputs, soil life, natural fertilizers and respect for biological cycles, with conversion to organic and biodynamic certification underway. Pierre Maillet has overseen vineyard restructuring and replanting, while parcel-specific vinification and gentle, minimally interventionist cellar work aim to express differences between sites. The wines have received recognition from guides and competitions, including the Guide Vert des Meilleurs Vins de France.
