Domaine d'Auvenay

France

Domaine d'Auvenay is a tiny Burgundy estate owned and run by Lalou Bize-Leroy, and part of the Maison and Domaine Leroy portfolio. She personally oversees both the vineyards and winemaking, with no separate winemaker identified. The domaine farms biodynamically, with hand harvesting, lunar-cycle timing, cows, herbal teas and tisanes, and no chemical inputs; the wines are made without fining or filtering. Spread across 16 appellations, Auvenay is known for extremely limited production of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, including Grand Cru sites, made in very small quantities.
