Borgo Savaian

Borgo Savaian is a family-run estate in Cormòns, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia’s Collio, built across three generations from founder Bruno Bastiani to the current family team. The winery is rooted in quality, authenticity, and a strong focus on native grapes and local terroir. Work begins in the vineyard, where cappuccina and guyot training, along with careful pruning and low cluster loads, are used to encourage characterful fruit. Sustainability is a guiding principle: the estate is in organic conversion, uses drip irrigation, relies on a photovoltaic plant for energy, and promotes biodiversity in the vineyards. Their wines are described as expressive of Collio, with intense aromatics in the whites and structure in the reds.
