Trullo di Pezza

Italy

Founded in 2012 near Manduria in Salento, Trullo di Pezza is based in a historic 1830 Apulian masseria and is owned and operated by sisters Simona and Marika Lacaita, working with vineyards inherited from their parents. The estate follows organic farming and a sustainable-impact approach, cultivating native varieties including Primitivo, Negroamaro, Fiano, Aglianico, and Susumaniello. Vineyards lie in Salento’s red, limestone-rich soils near the sea, with natural-based vineyard treatments and only emergency irrigation in extreme drought. Winemaking takes place on-site, focusing mainly on steel, medium-long macerations, and fresh wines with varietal character; limited wood maturation is used for selected labels.
