Martini & Rossi is a historic Piedmont producer based in Pessione near Turin, founded in 1863 and best known for vermouth and sparkling wines tied to Italian aperitivo culture. Its sparkling wine heritage includes Asti Spumante, with production overseen in Pessione using tank fermentation. For Asti, the house works with about 300 small growers in the Asti region and Sparkling Wine Master Blender Livio Prandi; for Prosecco, it supervises independent growers in Valdobbiadene, Pavia, and Asti rather than owning the supplying vineyards. The brand emphasizes continuity of craft through its master blenders and botanicals specialists, traditional recipes, and long historical legacy, while also operating as a global drinks brand with vermouth, sparkling wine, and aperitivo products at its core.
