Domaine Cheveau

France

Domaine Cheveau is a third-generation family estate based in Solutré-Pouilly, in the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé. Founded in the 1950s, the domaine now farms Chardonnay in the Mâconnais and Gamay around Saint-Amour, with five Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru wines. The family practices respectful viticulture, including soil ploughing and manual harvesting, and limits intervention in both vineyard and cellar. Their wines are made to express the individuality of each terroir: parcels are kept separate rather than blended, preserving their distinct character across Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâconnais, Beaujolais, and Saint-Amour. The estate shifted from selling bulk wine to bottling exclusively under its own name between 2002 and 2008, reinforcing its focus on terroir and precision.
