Producer

Cantina Settecani

Italy

Founded in 1923 by 48 farmers, Cantina Settecani remains a member-owned cooperative in Settecani di Castelvetro, Modena, at the heart of Lambrusco Grasparossa country. Its member families cultivate vineyards on the area’s sandy, calcareous hills, producing Lambrusco Grasparossa, Pignoletto and Trebbiano, with a particular focus on sparkling wines made by the traditional Martinotti method. The cooperative combines careful grape selection and traditional methods with modern cellar technology, while respecting the rhythms of nature and local terroir. Sustainability is central: Cantina Settecani has held V.I.V.A. certification since 2016, is organically certified, and has introduced measures addressing energy use, packaging and vineyard practices. Its Vini del Re selection represents the highest-quality fruit from the best-exposed slopes.
